Brad Young & Associates, Inc. is seeking an engineer with several years of experience developing structural construction documents for commercial/Retail projects as well as managing client accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to

Responsibilities will include:
Managing clients needs during all phases of a project
Coordinating schedules of individual projects to meet client deadlines
Coordinating and producing construction documents, specifically structural drawings and calculations, both personally and with our in-house engineers and drafting professionals.
Consistently maintaining fees/budgets for each project managed.
Working with building departments to obtain building permits
Working with contractors, as needed, during the construction administration phase of a project.
Job Qualifications
4+ years of progressive structural engineering experience performing structural design at a structural engineering firm.
4-year college degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
Civil Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate
Professional Engineer License – Civil or Structural a significant plus
Essential Knowledge/Skills
Ability to perform complex vertical, lateral, and foundation calculations for new and remodel building projects
Extensive knowledge of various lateral load resisting systems and materials.
Extensive knowledge of various foundation systems and materials.
Extensive knowledge of applicable building code requirements when designing with the four major building materials; concrete, masonry, wood, and steel.
Extensive knowledge of applicable building code requirements for Seismic, Wind, Snow, and Live Load design.
Extensive experience putting together complete structural drawings and calculations for new and remodel commercial projects.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proficiency using AutoCAD to navigate and edit drawings
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Compensation
$85,000 - $125,000+. Salary for this position is based on the individual’s experience and any other intangibles they bring to the position.
